I discovered a website (http://www.unesco.org/water/wwap/) dedicated to the World Water Assessment Programme that is very user-friendly. If you look in the top, left-hand corner of the home page, you will find that you can alter the language preference so students can readily absorb information in English and Spanish. This website is particularly helpful because it provides up-to-date information about international conferences, publications, and news articles, including the UN Climate Change Conference that took place in Barcelona this November. It also offers an array of international case studies, some of which are “close to home” like those in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. The Facts and Figures page also directly addresses the UN Millennium Development Goals. I hope this information is helpful for you as well.
